Mamavation and Omron Challenge Week 2

Personal

When I got on the scale yesterday I was dreading writing this post. I have literally worked my bottom off this past week. I’ve been doing two workouts per day (minus rest days) and I’ve been striving to get my 10,000 steps in per day. I only reached it 3 days out of 7, though.

weigh in Jan20

As you can see, I gained this week. Not even a full pound, only .8, but how frustrating after working as hard as I have the past week. I’m sure it’s muscle and water, but UGH! I lost a half inch in my waist, my right thigh and in both arms. I think I lost in my right leg because I’m stronger in that one when doing my kicks on the Combat workouts I do.

The motivation I get from the other bloggers on this challenge is amazing. Kim is my biggest motivator. I want to be just like her! This week I want to try to get as close to her on steps as possible. That’s going to take a huge amount of walking! Sara is my other biggest motivator. Last week she came up with some really good ideas about prepping her snacks and salads for the week. Here are my measurements so far:

Date Chest Waist Hips Biceps Calves Thighs Clothing Size
1/6 45.5″ 43″ 51″ R:13 1/2″ L:14″ R:17 1/2″ L:17 1/2″ R:26″ L:26″ 18
1/13 44″ 43″ 50″ R:14″ L:14″ R:17 1/2″ L:17 1/2″ R:26″ L:26″ 18
1/20 44″ 42 1/5″ 50″ R:13 1/2″ L:13 1/2″ R:17 1/2″ L:17 1/2″ R:25 1/2″ L:26″ 18/16
1/27
2/3
2/10

Regardless of the measurements I feel good about myself. Whenever I work out in the morning I feel great through the rest of the day. My off days I feel extremely lazy. I can feel a difference in my body. Plus, I was playing basketball on Saturday and my pants kept falling down! The tools I’m using to track my progress are: an Omron pedometer and an Omron HBF-510W Full Body Composition Monitor with Scale. I like that the pedometer links up to an account on Omron Fitness where I can track my goals over the week and also see my friends’ progress.

I hate when weeks end up like that but sometimes its just a matter of how much water you did or didn’t have the day before or sometimes it goes up a little because you’ve worked hard and added enough muscle to outweigh the fat loss. Inches are what matters more. And next week will probably be a great week

Awesome Job! I am thrilled to be part of this challenge too – I needed the support of a team like this to kick it into gear this year. Glad to hear I’m in good company.

Don’t let the dumb scale discourage you. You are losing inches, which means you are LOSING! Keep going, you are doing amazing!

Don’t worry too much about the scale I find that it falls into line eventually. Keep plugging away and doing what you are doing!

Wow, congratulations on your loss! Even though the scale went up, those inches are dropping! It’s totally awesome that your pants were falling – but I bet that was a fun game LOL
