On Friday night after we spent the day at Dollywood, we all got our flannel on and headed over to Lumberjack Feud. I went into this not sure what to expect except this was a show that the man in your house would want to see. I guess I never expected to have as much fun as I did. The Lumberjack Feud is based on when the Smokey Mountains were turned into a National Park and loggers were asked to leave the area. The rest of the story is fictional, but a ton of fun. Apparently there was one plot of land that one family could live on. The Dawson and McGraw families decide to have a Lumberjack competition to decide which family will stay.
They had some awesome stunts and a ton of Lumberjack competitions. With 10 different logging events you will thrill to the professional ESPN timber athletes as they compete in such areas as axe swinging, log rolling, tree climbing, and chainsaw carving action! And you won’t want to miss seeing the log pulling Draft Horses, the Bears, and high flying TimberDogs. And we round out our show with gut-bustin’, family-friendly comedy, via emcee Ranger Black, and the crazy antics of Camper Bob. Camper Bob is hilarious. I haven’t laughed so much at a show in a very long time.
The food was really good. The yeast rolls were awesome. I just wanted to sit there and eat a ton of them. They also served us chicken, ribs, macaroni and cheese, and beans. Dessert was strawberry shortcake. I’ve never been a big strawberry fan, but I actually ate the strawberries in this dessert. I loved how all the food came out in little lunchboxes. Makes you feel like you’re a lumberjack having a lunch break in the middle of the long, hard day.
If you don’t mind light potty humor, I would totally recommend this show for the whole family. I know my son would have a blast watching everything. I don’t think anything was inappropriate for youngsters. They have two choices for seeing the show. You can get the above dinner and show for: Adults (ages 12 & up) $ 42.95 plus tax, Child (ages 3 – 11) $19.95 plus tax, and Child (ages 2 & under) are free when sitting in parent’s lap and share the parents meal. If you wish for your child to receive a seat or a meal, a regular children’s admission will apply. OR you can just watch the show Adults (ages 12 & up) $ 29.95 plus tax, Child (ages 3 – 11) $9.95 plus tax, and Child (ages 2 & under) are free only if they sit in a parent’s lap. If you wish for your child to receive a seat a regular children’s admission will apply.
