Note: I received some goodies for attending this event, but all opinions are my own.
I know my kids didn’t go “back” to school, but we still need items that other kids need when they go to school outside the home. Sassy Moms in the City had an awesome event two weeks ago to help celebrate the little ones going off to school! I REALLY enjoyed having a mommy break where I could visit with my friends and learn about some awesome brands!
As you can see above, my friends and I had fun with the Dacron pillows. I had a Dacron travel pillow before, but I have no idea what happened to it. They had a few different types of pillow there to feel. I’m definitely more into the squishy pillows while everyone else around me liked the more firm types.
One of the brands that were there that really excited me was Iristocracy. I’m in a huge need of new glasses and they have a TON to choose from. One of the highlights of the night was watching Samantha, Maria, Natasha, and Pilar trying on glasses.
When I saw these shoes from Pediped, I knew Monkey would be in love. They also had a sparkly pair there that she would want to wear every day. My daughter is starting to have a slight shoe obsession! What I didn’t know is that Pediped also has adult sizes… score! They look so comfortable!
There was no rep on hand to talk about Pacapod, but I decided after looking it over that I NEED one! I love the idea of it. There are separate bags (pods) inside for diaper changing and food so you don’t need to always carry around the full diaper bag when you go somewhere. It looks awesome!
One of the last companies I learned about was Refresh2Go. I brought home a pink water bottle from them and Monkey immediately claimed it for herself. She loves it. They are sold in Meijer and Walmart stores.
The event was hosted at The Chopping Block in Chicago, which I visited before for a knife class. They did a short cooking demo on how to make roasted red pepper pesto. It tasted great! They always have delicious food there!
The event was a success and I hope to bring you more info about these brands in the future! Did you find any awesome brands for back to school this year?
