Kids in the Kitchen is a new weekly series to showcase all the ways kids can be involved in meal planning, shopping, preparing and even cooking. Each week we ask you to share your stories, pictures and recipes that involve your kids in the kitchen.

kids in the kitchen Did you know that kids are more likely to eat new foods if they are involved in the preparation. Teaching them how to cook and move their way around the kitchen are skills your children will use for a lifetime. These skills foster independence, self reliance and self-confidence. Kids in the Kitchen is about more than just letting kids mix up cake batter or cookie dough; let them explore by measuring, chopping, tasting new flavors and cooking techniques. My kids LOVE to help in the kitchen. They can’t seem to get enough of it.

Linky Rules

1.  Link up only your kid friendly recipes, stories, pictures or cooking lessons here.(No Etsy stores or giveaways please).

2.  Only link directly to a specific post not your homepage.

3. Please add a Kids in the Kitchen button or link on your site or blog post or share through social media so readers know you are participating. (buttons coming)

4.  Click through and comment, pin or share with other participants.  We love to share inspiration and ideas with each other, don’t link and run.

5. Follow the hosts of this feature, Paula at Frosted Fingers, Sara at Sensibly Sara, and  Melinda at LookWhatMomFound…and Dad too

About Paula

Paula Krueger considers herself a "baby "chef, not because she cooks for babies, but because she's still learning how to cook. She started this blog after taking Wilton method classes and at that point was more interested in baking. She's since become more interested in learning to cook as her family has grown. She also covers product reviews and travel as well.

This sounds like so much fun. Kids eat so much better when they have a vested interested in what was made. Look forward to reading all about it!
