Found this simple craft while pinning on Pinterest and had to try it with my kids. This comes from a blog called The Moffatt Girls. I’m obsessed with looking out the window since we made them. I can’t wait to catch our first visitor on camera! Oh and if you’re worried about the birds eating peanut butter, I read on Family Corner that there is no documented information of it hurting them but if you’re concerned you can mix it with cornmeal first to make it less sticky or substitute vegetable shortening instead.
Items needed:
Slather your toilet paper roll with peanut butter (or vegetable shortening)
Let the kids roll the toilet paper rolls in the seeds
Hang on branches of your trees
The nice thing is where I hung them all you have a great view from the cat seat in the kitchen. That’s right, I want to drive my cat insane watching the birds! I’ll update with birdie pictures if they come.
