Our family is expanding – we are expecting Number 7

Back in September we were all on the couch watching The Sound of Music. I had to go to the store to pick up a prescription, so I got up and headed out. While on the way to the store I realized I was one day late so I picked up a test. I got home and immediately went to take the test. Imagine my surprise when I got two lines! I could not believe I was expecting another baby!

The test started off very light and had to ask a group of friends if they saw what I saw. I came out of the bathroom and asked my husband how many children were in the Von Trapp family and he told me 7. I just raised an eyebrow and him and he got it right away. I was such a ball of nerves- already a mom to 6, all of which were born via c-section, and I’m 42- having a baby at 43!

Now 25 weeks

I’m now at 25 weeks pregnant and dealing with gestational diabetes and high blood pressure. They will probably be taking baby boy at 37 weeks. I’m reaching the end of second trimester and I’m starting to feel it. I tire quicker and am having a harder time sleeping at night. I can’t believe I’m 12 weeks away from holding him in my arms. Praying he stays healthy after delivery and I can just cuddle him and enjoy the baby stage, unlike my last baby that ended up in NICU.

We still have no name for baby, but the kids want to name him Tennessee Adam. I’ll let them enjoy for that now. This will be our fifth boy and it gets much harder to come up with names! If you have any ideas, leave them below. I’ll give you an update once he’s here.
