Quinny and baby

5 weeks ago my little guy decided to make his entrance 2 weeks early. (It was 1 week before my scheduled c-section.) He really surprised us, because none of our other four kids came early! The ones that were not scheduled came two weeks LATE! I’ll tell you, though, adding #5 to our family is my Formula for Happiness.

Formula For HappinessAs you can see in the pictures above, Quinn is absolutely in love with Joseph. She has been since the day he was born. She wakes up and immediately asks for Mama and Baby Joseph and goes to bed saying night Baby Mama! Baby Joseph is definitely Quinny’s #FormulaForHappiness.

FormulaForHappiness

Not knowing if Joseph is going to be my last baby, I am soaking in every minute. I hold him as much as I can and just stare at him. (Do I get frustrated with lack of sleep? Absolutely!) I choose to just be happy with everything instead of focusing on the lack of sleep and frustration. Infants are hard, but also easy at the same time. I love all my babies!

Sleeping Joseph

My babies and spending time with them is my Formula for Happiness. Gerber would like to know what your Formula for Happiness is. Did you know that Gerber Good Start formula is now GMO-free? Here are a few facts about the new formula:

• Gerber decided to make all of their Good Start® formulas without the use of genetically engineered ingredients because that is what a significant number of parents want.
• Formulas made without genetically engineered ingredients provide no additional nutritional benefits for your baby.
• Listening to consumer feedback about our products is important to us at Gerber. As your partner in helping you raise a happy and healthy child, we continue to evolve our products to meet our consumers’ preferences.
• Because we have made this change across all of our formulas, we can offer non-GMO products to moms with a wide variety of needs—those who want our base product, those who supplement with breast milk, those with babies who need a soy formula, those who have babies with tolerance issues, etc.

Q1: What does NO GMOs-not made with the use of genetically modified ingredients mean?
A1: The “No GMOS-not made with the use of genetically modified ingredients” refers to the fact that the ingredients we use in our products are not from crops grown with genetically engineered seed.

Q2: Why did Gerber® decide to make their formulas without the use of genetically modified ingredients and is there any benefit to my baby?
A2: Gerber® decided to make their formulas without the use of genetically modified ingredients because that is what our parents wanted. Formula made without genetically modified ingredients provide is no additional nutritional benefit to your baby. Regulatory agencies and organizations, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, World Health Organization and National Academy of Sciences, have found that genetically modified crops are as safe as traditional crops; however, listening to consumer feedback about our products is important to us at Gerber. As your partner in helping you raise a happy and healthy child, we continue to evolve our products to meet consumers’ preferences.

Sleep with Babies

I love that Gerber has made their Formula GMO-Free to make moms happy. Another thing that makes me happy is taking naps with my two littlest. I’d love to know what your #FormulaForHappiness is. Leave me a note below.
