Weight Loss Wednesday

I’ve made the decision. It’s time for me to take the leap and get this weight off. A few weeks after having Baby Q I was almost to my pre-pregnancy weight, but just like always I rebound while breast feeding. Before having Q I was over 230 lbs. I got down to 207, which was 5 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Last week I was back up to 214.7 pounds. Ouch! I made the decision last week that I was going to start today. I got on the scale and was already down to 212.3.

I still haven’t decided what route I’m going to take for weight loss. The past week I’ve been focusing on drinking a lot of water and trying to move a little more. On May 1st I started following Kim’s January Fitness Calendar. She has one for each month this year and I could have started with May but I decided I wanted to start easy. Slow and steady. I have the Color Run 5k to “run” in less than a month. I’m so not ready like I wanted to be. I’m going to do my best to run as much as I can during the race.

I’ll be checking in next Wednesday and hopefully have more of a plan besides just wanting to lose weight. 🙂 If you’ve lost weight, what have you done to lose it?

For me, calorie counting is the only thing that works. Well, that partnered with exercise of course.

    Hey Paula,
Thanks for sharing your journey~ I was almost at 200 lbs two years after I had the twins and decided to go the Weight Watchers route~ I was skeptical at first, but it really worked! I lost over 50 lbs. and have kept (most of) it off. The meetings were really encouraging and the accountability gave me the extra motivation I needed (plus, the healthy eating strategies changed how I look at food). 🙂

I actually really like Weight Watchers. I lost over 30 pounds right before I got pregnant with Gabriel. I’d go back to it, but it’s not in the budget right now. I really enjoyed going to the meetings. I had forgotten you did Weight Watchers!

I’ve do Weight Watchers now, but Fitness Pal has a similar app that you can track your calories in and your exercise. Check it out, it’s free.

I have been doing awful… I gained just about all I’d lost over the course of 2 years, in the past 7 months.

I lost all of my weight (55lbs) from calorie counting, exercise and very little cheat days. I promise with enough determination and will power, you can do this!
