Kids in the Kitchen is a new weekly series to showcase all the ways kids can be involved in meal planning, shopping, preparing and even cooking. Each week we ask you to share your stories, pictures and recipes that involve your kids in the kitchen.
Did you know that kids are more likely to eat new foods if they are involved in the preparation. Teaching them how to cook and move their way around the kitchen are skills your children will use for a lifetime. These skills foster independence, self reliance and self-confidence. Kids in the Kitchen is about more than just letting kids mix up cake batter or cookie dough; let them explore by measuring, chopping, tasting new flavors and cooking techniques. My kids LOVE to help in the kitchen. They can’t seem to get enough of it.

This sounds like so much fun. Kids eat so much better when they have a vested interested in what was made. Look forward to reading all about it!
