Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken #Recipe

I’m in a local mom’s group and one of my best friends, Di, posted this recipe a long time ago. I finally got around to trying it yesterday. It was a meal that started out with complaining but ended with clean plates! The kids kept saying “I don’t like that.” Once they tried it, though, they enjoyed it and cleaned their plates!

Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken Recipe

  • 4-5 boneless chicken breasts poke holes with fork
  • 1/2 bag Real Bacon Bits
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix I used Simply Organic Ranch Dip
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup

  1. Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray.
  2. Poke holes in chicken and place in slow cooker.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients in a separate bowl and pour over chicken.
  4. Cook on high for 3-4 hours, until done.
  5. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes or noodles.
  6. You can also sprinkle with paprika or hot pepper to add some color and spice.

  1. Sounds yummy!

  2. This is always one of my pet peeves “I don’t like that. Ewwww!” because they refuse to try it. And then they try it and love it. That’s exactly why we have the one bite rule 🙂

    • My kids usually have to eat at least 3 bites. It’s been rough at mealtimes lately since I’m trying so many new foods, but we’re getting there.

  3. looks and sounds awesome

  4. Oh my that looks SOOOO yummy! I bet the bacon is awesome. Yummmmm

  5. This looks so good! I was going to try to print the recipe but it has a HUGE 4 page phot on it, I’mnot sure if you were aware of that or not? So just thought I would let you know!

  6. found this on pinterest and am trying it tonight!!!!

  7. I made this for the wife and myself today and it was very good. The sauce was the best part about it and next time I don’t think I’ll even bother with the chicken in the slow cooker, just do the sauce on the stove top and serve over noodles. The one thing I will do next time is use low sodium soup and bacon because it was a bit salty for our tastes.

    • I thought it was kind of salty, too. I thought maybe it was just because I didn’t use name brand Ranch mix. Good to know it wasn’t just me.
