Not only has it been a while since I was blogging regularly, but it’s been a while since I’ve created a spread for my bullet journal. In my pursuit of getting myself organized after the baby, I decided I needed a place to write down what I need to get done daily. I want a planner from Blessed is She, but it’ll have to wait until I have a little play money. Also I think I will miss my creative outlet when I move to a planner someone else has made. I haven’t 100% decided if I want to buy one or keep making my spreads. I hope you enjoy my July 2019 Bullet Journal layout.
I got my ideas for my July 2019 Bullet Journal layout from two different people: AmandaRachLee and The Petite Planner. (You can click their names to watch their July bullet journal videos on YouTube. I loved the watermelons because I didn’t have to be precise with drawing them. The irony is I don’t even really eat watermelon.
I like having my month laid out for me so I can see birthdays and anniversaries at a glance. I also want to add in any Holy Days of Obligation and special prayers to say. On the right is a habit tracker. I’m not sure I want to track all those things but I threw them in there for now and will update as months go on. Currently tracking: workouts, intermittent fasting (which I have to see if that’s even ok while breastfeeding), reading, intimacy, blogging, time outside, water, and journaling. I have one extra spot in case I come up with something else. I can also write down four goals per month and check in weekly on them to see how I’m doing. Again, not sure this is my favorite layout but will see how it goes.
First of all, get your mind out of the gutter. I liked the idea that The Petite Planner had about being intentional with saying something you like about yourself every day. It’s so easy to talk to yourself negatively. I want to work on being positive with myself so I want to do this daily.
I still want to focus on gratitude as well so I have a log for that daily. I was having issues with my gel pens, please ignore the smudges. I’m also two weeks away from being cleared for exercise. In the meantime I want to start ramping up my walking daily. I think I’m lucky to get in 2000 steps. So for the remainder of this week I want to get in 5000 steps a day and work myself up to 10,000 or more!
This aspect of the monthly layout is where I took the idea from AmandaRachLee. I loved the idea of the peekaboo pages but I messed up. It’ll still work for this month. On the right I have a log of what blog posts I’d like to get done or am committed to getting done this month. On the weekend pages there is also a notes section where I can brain dump for the week.
It felt so good to be creative again. It’s been way too long since I’ve doodled or colored. The last trimester of my pregnancy was very rough on me. I’m glad to be feeling back to myself! If you’re curious which journal I use, I use the one pictured below that I purchased off of Amazon. I love the cover.
Here are the supplies I use for bullet journaling. These are amazon affiliate links, which I could possibly earn a small commission from you purchasing through me but it does not cost you any extra.
