Ever have a dream that you just can’t shake when you wake up? That happened to me last night. I had a dream that for some reason the moon fell out of the sky, which caused major tide issues, flooding, end of the world disaster kind of stuff. (I’m sure it had to do with reading the book Where the Mountain Meets the Moon to my son. It’s not a disaster book at all, just Chinese folklore, but lots of moon talk.) Anyway, in the dream my whole extended family was trying to survive together and we were living in the basement of my sister’s-in-law house with all of the 13 grandkids. One day we noticed military men going into the house next to us and taking the children away. We had to hide all of our kids and then start making plans to head somewhere far away from everyone to hide out and survive.
I didn’t get any farther than that with my dream, but it made me wake up and want to watch doomsday prepping types of shows all day long! I want to run out and get water tablets, pocket knives, rope, and all sorts of things that my large family would need to survive if something happened! Thank goodness for Netflix and the fact that they have Doomsday Preppers Season 1 on there so I can get a start on figuring out what we could need. 🙂 My husband likes shows like this and I’ve seen a few of the episodes. You could even go more fun and fictional and watch The Walking Dead.
Do you buy into the Doomsday hype? Are you a prepper or just pray that God takes you so you don’t have to deal with it? (I’d much rather God just take me and my family if it’s the end of the world so that I don’t have to deal with the craziness of it all!) I find it funny that the day after my dream about all of this that my husband decided to take the kids BB Gun shooting. I didn’t even tell him about my dream!

I think it is a good idea to have some items on hand in case of emergencies, but I am like you-Pray that God just takes me and I am not going to worry about the End of the World prep too much!

You would also need a generator to run your TV. If the apocalypse does not have tv and internet, I do not think I want to survive it. It would be a slow boring death.

I love Doomsday Preppers. It definitely makes you think.

It’s definitely great to prepared for any kind of disaster but I don’t think any one could be prepared enough for the end of the World. I would hope that we would be ones God takes and not deal with it. I don’t have cable or Netflix but it would be interesting to watch Doomsday Preppers.

We aren’t preppers, but we have a lot of essential items ready for emergencies.
