Two weeks ago our Little Man turned 5. We wanted to have a celebration for him since this would be his last birthday party without his sister sharing the party. He absolutely loves Chuck E Cheese’s and begged to have the party there. Since I was one week away from having the baby, I said yes. Who wants to clean their house for a party at 38 weeks pregnant?! (and to host it and clean up afterwards as well. no thank you!) (Note, I was given a few guest passes to help cover the cost of the adults attending the party, but I paid for the party myself and all opinions in this post are my own.)
We arrived at Chuck E Cheese’s about 15 minutes before our party because we weren’t sure what to expect and knowing we were the “hosts”, I wanted to be sure we were there before any guests came. We were asked to wait while they got our tables together so I let the kids go play while we waited. About 10 minutes after the party was supposed to start they finally told us our table was ready. I was very pleased with the party hostess we got. She really took care of everything. We brought our own cake because the Chuck E Cheese cakes were not big enough to feed our crowd. The hostess made sure to serve everyone in our party with a cupcake and ice cream. (I had no idea they’d serve everyone!) She was very nice and very on top of things.
They have a promotion going called Rip It, Sip It, Win It. There’s a sticker on every adult beverage cup that you can peel and win prizes. I got 10 tickets while all the rest of the adults in our party got 5 tickets. It was my lucky night. 😉 You could win a Disney Cruise Line Vacation, XBox One, Playstation 4, and many more prizes. I guess I wasn’t as lucky as you COULD be! 🙂
Overall the kids AND adults had a good time at the party. It was nice that I was able to just sit and enjoy my son’s party instead of running around serving everyone and making sure that things were going smoothly. The cost of the party really wasn’t any more than having a party at home and if there was a cost difference, the amount of stress I DIDN’T have made it all worth it. I would have another party at Chuck E Cheese’s for one of my kids. Little Man had a great birthday!

Ok this is terrible – but I have to tell it… Midge would KILL me.
When she was turning 3 we took her to Chuck-E-Cheeses for her birthday – she ASKED to go. We did the whole thing – party, cake, tokens, games… all of it.
THEN Chuck-E-Cheese walked out – and she DOVE under the table and started crying LOL She kept saying “I didnt know HE was going to be here” hahahaha she has been scared to death of mascots ever since LOL

You traumatized her!! Cadence used to be terrified of anything in a costume like that, too. She’s gotten over it.
