I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Arm & Hammer. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Holiday Ready HouseI thought it was rough getting ready to have guests over for Christmas. Not only am I doing that, I am getting my house ready for baby as we go, too! She’s due only a few weeks after Christmas and I want to be as ready for her as possible before Christmas, because I feel like I will not be wanting to move at all pretty soon. We love Arm & Hammer products in our household. We use their baking soda for EVERYTHING. It’s such a handy and cost effective cleaning tool to have around your house. Obviously I use it a lot in baking as well. Here are some ways that Arm & Hammer can help you get holiday (or baby) ready!

Deodorize Carpets: With pets and kids, we use Arm & Hammer baking soda in our carpets to help eliminate any odors before guest come. Sprinkle baking soda on your carpet about 10 minutes before you vacuum and it will help lift any smells out of your carpet.

arm and hammer detergentCleaning your clothes: You don’t want a pile of stinky clothes lying around somewhere when guests come over so use Arm & Hammer Ultra Power 4x Laundry Detergent to take care of those piles!

Cat Boxes: Arm & Hammer has a great litter out that I think REALLY helps keep the smells down. Even if you don’t buy their litter, you can add baking soda in with your litter to help eliminate odors, because who wants to be greeted with the odor of cat waste when they walk into your house?!

Cleaning Hard Surfaces: Mix 1/4 cup of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, 1 tablespoon of Dawn, and enough vinegar to make a paste. You can use this to clean your bathrooms, sinks, any hard surfaces. It works like soft scrub without damaging your hands.

Cleaning your Drains: I do this all the time because half of my sink in my kitchen doesn’t really get used all that much. Pour a pot of boiling hot water down your drain.Dump in about 1/2 c. baking soda. Let that sit for a few minutes. Then, pour a mixture of 1 c. vinegar and 1. c very hot water down on top of the baking soda.Cover with a drain plug (to keep the reaction down below the drain surface) if you have one and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.Flush one more time with a pot of boiling water.

There are SO many more uses for baking soda and Arm & Hammer products. I love how fresh and clean their products leave things.

I don’t use baking soda as often as I should, but I do use it to clean hard surfaces, my drains and to bake with!

I recently tried the Arm & Hammer detergent as well. I always glanced over it at the store, but I really like it! Everything came out fresh!
