HEXBUG Nano V2 party #TheyCanClimb

Have your kids ever played with HEXBUGs? Mine absolutely love them and when I was given a chance to host a party for the new HEXBUG Nano V2 version, I said YES! HEXBUG sent me the kits and HEXBUGs to give out, but no financial gain was made and all opinions are my own.

HEXBUG Nano V2 #TheyCanClimb

The new HEXBUG Nano V2 is awesome, because they actually made them now so they can climb! It’s almost like having a gerbil or hamster habitat without the food and smell! I’ve never had a party that was so successful before. I have 15 kids show up, including my own. We had a hard time pulling the kids away from the HEXBUGs to do anything else.

I had my party on a Friday when there was no school, right at lunchtime so I prepared some “buggy” food for the kids. I made ham and turkey sandwiches which were cut to look like butterflies and in between them on the platter were grape caterpillars. I also made ants on a log using sunbutter since we had a little girl with nut allergies coming. There was also hummus dip that was inside a green pepper made to look like a spider, plain old macaroni and cheese and then the biggest hit was the Bug Juice. I put floating plastic bugs in the punch and the kids had almost as much fun scooping out the bugs as they did playing with the HEXBUGs.

I just want to give some quick feedback here. When I went to put together the kits for the HEXBUGs, there was no clear instructions as to how to put each track together to make it look like the box. My 8 yr old and I took one hour to set up 4 tracks and we had to just look at the pictures on the boxes to get them right. Of course after a while at the party the kids said “Let’s make our own tracks!” They took apart the 4 we had built and started making their own. At one point they had a 4 ft tall track for the bugs to climb.

I have had almost all the moms tell me that since they got home all the kids are asking for is HEXBUG Nano V2 climbing bugs for Christmas.

It was really fun, and we will definitely be getting more for Christmas gifts. Thanks for having us. I wouldn’t have considered these otherwise. Well played, Hexbug! – Jenn

Thanks, Paula! They’re all asking for hexbugs for Christmas now – Heather

He loves that little bug! So does the cat!- Becky

Since the party cousins have come over to play, too, and now they want them as well. These are definitely fun little bugs for the kids to play with and it keeps them busy for hours!

Be sure to follow HEXBUG on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Also, for more information on what sets and bugs are available, check them out on their site. The sets shown above were: Barrel Roll, Sky max, Hurricane, and Black Hole. Do your kids love HEXBUG? What’s their favorite bug?
