Foam Fest 5K

This June 1 I will be taking part in the 5K Foam Fest Run in the Chicago area. I am SO looking forward to this! This will be my second ever 5K. I did a mud run last year and loved it. The obstacles on this Foam Fest run looks like so much fun! The first obstacle is a 30 foot slip and slide. Yay for re-living my childhood! After that is a giant death drop, stumpy jumper, spider web forest, a moon walk, electric mud crawl, cargo climb, bouncy ball attack, 8 foot walls, trip wire, tube crossing, 5 foot walls, and holy foam.

Electric Mud Crawl

I have 126 days to get ready for this run! I’d really like to run as much of the 5K as possible. Of course this week I’ve ended up with shin splints. Time to get fitted for some good shoes I guess. I can tell they aren’t fitting right because I’m getting blisters on the bottom of my feet as well. My goal for right now is to continue my Combat training and trying to get in at least 10,000 steps a day. Next month I will try to find another way to ramp up my workouts to get ready for this physically demanding course.

I have the opportunity to offer a ticket to someone here in the Chicagoland area so that they can do the run with me! (Or by yourself, up to you.) If you don’t win and are still interested in running the race, the sooner you buy your ticket, the better!

Early Registration: $50
90 Days Before: $60
30 Days Before: $65
