This Sunday we get to go see Thomas the Train in Union, IL. We’re going to see Day Out with Thomas Mystery on the Rails tour. We went last year and the kids had such a great time! There is so much to do there from playing mini golf, to jumping in bounce houses, to watching magic tricks, etc.

Help our favorite No. 1 engine find the clues and solve the mystery! Thomas the Tank Engine™ is pulling out of the station for Day Out With Thomas™: Mystery On The Rails Tour 2012. Presented by HIT Entertainment and sponsored by MEGA Brands, a leading toy company, Day Out with Thomas is a fun-filled and exciting way for children and adults to enter the world of Thomas & Friends. Day Out With Thomas Union, IL, Mommy Reporterprovides an opportunity for kids to take a ride on a 15-ton replica of Thomas and have their pictures taken with Sir Topham Hatt, the controller of Thomas’ railway. The tour provides a unique, interactive family experience at every station, offering a variety of entertaining activities that reflect the local flavor of each stop. Different forms of entertainment – from petting zoos, miniature golf, and bounce houses to face-painting and magic shows – make each Day Out With Thomas event special. In addition, every location has a Thomas & Friends Imagination Station where you can Build with Mega Bloks® and participate in other Thomas-themed activities including stamps, temporary tattoos, hands-on arts and crafts, and a Thomas storytelling and video viewing area.

Ticket prices are $19 each and anyone that has reached their 2nd birthday needs a ticket. Thomas is pulling into Union, IL for the following dates:

  • Friday, August 17th, 2012
  • Saturday, August 18th, 2012
  • Sunday, August 19th, 2012
  • Saturday, August 25th, 2012
  • Sunday, August 26th, 2012

You can also check TicketWeb to see if Thomas is coming to a station near you.

Note: I was given tickets for my family to experience Day Out with Thomas. All opinions are my own.

That looks great! You’re going to have so much fun (and so many great photo ops!). The kids will be impressed forever I think. 🙂

So, how was it? Jake went to this once with my SIL and MIL and I have some great pictures of him from it.

Kids had a blast. I almost convinced myself to get a truck load of sand dropped in my back yard because that’s all they wanted to do, play in the sand mountain. Follow up post coming soon 🙂
