Lunches are my least favorite thing to get together. Because of that I’m going to be doing a review of MOMables coming up.

Feeding your kids wholesome food doesn’t have to be complicated. MOMables picky-eater, kid-tested recipes are made quickly — in ten minutes or less — with simple and fresh ingredients. MOMables streamlines the lunch making process with a weekly menu and a shopping list.

Until I get to that review, I wanted to share one of my quick go-to lunches for the kids. They absolutely love this and it’s so quick and easy to put together.

What you don’t see on that plate is lunch meat. You can see Monkey splitting the last piece with Little Man. In the amount of time it took me to run and get the camera, 6 slices of turkey breast were gone! On days that I’m in a rush or just don’t want to make another sandwich I throw this little platter together. I give them lunch meat (or flat meat as Monkey calls it), whatever fruit I have on hand and some cheese. They gobble it up!

My kids don’t do well with lunch meat even on sandwiches, my DD does but she is 9. The boys are 3 & 5 and the most I can get them to eat for lunch meat is a piece of bologna from time to time. DD will eat turkey and ham as well as bologna with me. I love this idea for sure, my five year old LOVES fruit.

Love his shirt! Gavin is a salami hog – he eats it so fast I wonder if I forgot to give it to him!

Oooh I love that! I can see doing that for the boys and they can pick and choose what they want to eat. I’m going to have to do something like that!
