I was recently given a chance to try the new Green GiantValley Fresh Steamers with pasta. They have two options:
- Macaroni and Cheese Sauce with Broccoli – classic elbow pasta and broccoli in a mouth watering cheese sauce
- Pasta and Vegetables with Alfredo Sauce – delicious corkscrew pasta with carrots and broccoli in a savory Alfredo sauce
I love the ease of the Green Giant steamers. It’s nice to have a side dish on hand that I can just throw in the microwave for a few minutes and be done with it. I hate when I’m trying to throw together a last minute meal and have nothing to go with it. I’d pick a few of these up to hang out in my freezer for emergency meals. That’s part of the reason I’m going back to menu planning so I don’t have to worry about things like this!
Here’s a little about Green Giant:They began growing vegetables over 100 years ago in Le Sueur, Minnesota. Today they still have fourth generation farmers. They do what they can to make a difference, such as picking each crop at the peek of perfection and freezing it fast to lock in it’s freshness.
I remember growing up and hearing the Green Giant commercial come on the tv and I’d then run around the house the rest of the day singing “Ho, ho, ho, Green Giant!”
