This week I did my first coupon deal. I think I did pretty well. Photobucket

I got all of that for a total of $21.18! I saved $39.75! So I saved over 100%! Jewel was having a special on all items that were Box Tops for Education. The majority of items in the store that had Box Tops on the packaging was on sale. On top of that if you spent $20 on those products you would get $5 back on your next purchase AND a voucher worth $5 for Box Tops for your school. (Not only do you get that voucher, but all of the items have the Box Tops on them as well. ) Here’s the cool thing about this deal. The $20 that you have to spend is not based on the sale price, but instead it’s based on the normal shelf price! I did this deal in two orders. I had a $5 coupon leftover from doing this deal once earlier in the week. (I didn’t do as well on the deal and didn’t take pictures.) I could have even done a little better and probably saved another $5 had I known all the shelf prices before going to the store. I had it originally split into 3 orders before getting to the store but found out I was off on the cereal prices and one order would not have equaled $20 so I just split the three orders into two. Of course after getting home with all this food I had to find somewhere to put it! Since I’m trying to take part in the pantry challenge I figured I’d FINALLY inventory my pantries, clean them out and organize them. It feels great to have that task done! I still need to put it all in a spreadsheet and update what I’ve used in the past two days. Expect that post from me soon. (It may not be until after Monday because Sunday is “Little Man’s” First Birthday party!)

Another post to expect from me soon: I’m taking part in Blog the Weight Away! The host is Lauren from 4BabyandMom. I’ve been linked up with two other women as a team to lose as much weight as (safely) possible by the end of the contest (tbd.) I’ll be keeping a weight loss diary here. My introduction post is due by Monday. I’ll be posting a before picture (UGH!) and all my stats (DOUBLE UGH!) and linking up to my wonderful teammates in that post.
So to go along with my new couponing venture, here are a few couponing blogs I follow:
