Hi! My name is Paula and I’m on the Purple Team for Blog the Weight Away Challenge hosted by 4BabyandMom! My other team members are Stefany from ToBeThode and Toni from MarketMommies. I just want to share with you some of my history and goals today.

I have never felt skinny. Back in high school I always thought I was fat. What I’d give to be fat the way I was in high school again! I weighed around 120 back then and my prom dress was a size 9! I still have that dress and my goal is to one day get back into it and go out to a very fancy dinner with my husband. Here is my prom picture:

In late 2003 or early 2004 I joined Weight Watchers. I can’t remember my start weight. I think it was around 200 lbs. I lost over 30 lbs and got pregnant with my eldest son which put my weight loss on hold. This was the day I announced my pregnancy to my family.

After my son I didn’t focus so much on weight loss. I got pregnant with my daughter when he was 1 yr 3 months. When I was pregnant with her I weighed 213 lbs. I got down to 187 after she was born with the help of breastfeeding and Weight Watchers.

So we’re up to now. I’m currently 198 lbs again. I barely gained any weight with the last baby (that turns one tomorrow!) What I did gain with him I lost at birth. It’s time for me to get healthy. I’m having issues with being tired all day. While I do still get up to breastfeed two times a night I know that a lot of my drowsiness is from being overweight and lazy. I have a strange expression on my face, but this was taken today. I’m holding my son’s “smash cake” to show the damage he did to it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are my current measurements:

Calf 16″
Hips 49″
Neck 16″
Thigh 23″
Upper Arm 14″
Waist 39″
BMI 34.10%

My final goal is to be around 140 lbs. I would like to lose at least 2 dress sizes by the time I’m in my sister’s in law wedding on September 3.

Paula, I hear ya on wishing you could be “fat” like you were in high school. I long for the days of wearing normal clothes and feeling like I am “normal” myself again.

I am happy we are on the same team and I can’t wait to get to know you better. I am here for you if you ever need anything!
