I am always late to the game with when I start a series. I never start a series at the beginning and I love that Netflix gives you the chance to binge watch tv shows from beginning to end without having to wait a week or even 6 months for the next episode AND there’s no commercials! We started Friends long after the show started and didn’t watch How I Met Your Mother or Parenthood until the series ended. We finally finished HIMYM last month, I think, what a cop-out ending!! Immediately after I finished that show I heard that the Parenthood finale was happening. I said to myself, “well, there’s your next show!” All my friends were buzzing about the series finale on Facebook and I’d never seen one show.
Parenthood to me is like watching a more in depth Brothers and Sisters without the politics. I am enjoying watching the show. It’s my way of getting through folding the laundry or when I have just a little bit of me time I will pop on an episode. I love having Netflix as a small escape from reality from time to time. On Parenthood you follow the story of older parents who are watching their middle aged kids raise their families. It covers topics such as Aspberger’s Syndrome, teen sex, infidelity, following your dreams, trouble getting pregnant, and addictions. There are characters that I can’t stand! I love having a show with Lauren Graham, though, because I was a huge Gilmore Girls junkie! (Maybe I’ll go through and watch Gilmore Girls again once I finish Parenthood.)
Have you given Parenthood a try yet? Don’t spoil it for me since I’m only just starting Season 3. If you’ve watched it, I’d love to know who your favorite character or family is in the show. What’s your current binge obsession on Netflix?

I’ve never seen the shows you mentioned. No Netflix and no TV.
