I received an Original Prize Candle to review from The Tastemaker Mom. All opinions are my own. I’ve always been interested in getting one of these candles to see what I could get. I’ve always been a little scared, though, because I’m picky about my jewelry. I don’t like yellow gold. I like silver or white gold, so I’ve been afraid that I would get something bright gold and not me.
If I were to chose my own candle, this would not be the scent for me. I got the Jasmine Neroli Prize Candle. I like warm baking type scents, so I bet I would have loved Creme Brulee. I burnt my candle for about 30 minutes the first night and then about 2.5 hours the next day before I was able to get to my prize pod. Don’t be impatient like me, I was trying to pull it out early and got hot wax all over me. I only got two tiny burn blisters on my arm, it could have been much worse. The nice thing, though, is that it is Soy Wax and doesn’t seem to be as hot as regular wax, plus it washes off pretty easily.
Your prize comes in a plastic pod and along with the prize is a piece of paper with a number on it. If you go to the appraisal portion of the website with that number, it’ll tell you how much your prize is worth. My ring was worth $25.
I was happy to find that my ring is silver AND it fit my finger. It’s a bigger stone that I would typically wear, but it is very pretty. Monkey has been trying to steal my ring. It would fit on two of her little fingers put together.
Even BabyQ wants to steal my ring! You can get your own The Original Prize Candle for $24.99. Prizes can be worth up to $5000! Will you win the next $5000 prize? Have you ever bought The Original Prize Candle?

I have always wanted to buy a candle like this, I think they are pretty cool. I also get worried about it being gold or silver or if it’s going to fit. But the surprise of it all is the point 🙂

I’ve tried the other candles like this once (names escape me). I didn’t get so lucky! 😉 I think my ring is gone!
