I haven’t done a whole lot of shopping in the past on Black Friday. I have gone out once or twice with my mother in law and two years ago I went out with my friend Di. She wanted me to go out with her at midnight last year, but I was just done by then. I think we got home from Thanksgiving at my inlaws at 11 that night so I just wanted to go to sleep. I finally went out shopping on Friday afternoon and picked up a few deals still left in store like pajamas, because we have a tradition every year to sleep in new pjs on Christmas Eve.
This year I hope to have the energy to go shopping with Di. We’ll see, though, because I will be 31.5 weeks pregnant and I’m having a hard time staying awake during the day at all. I know I WON’T be going out on Thursday.
Since Black Friday shopping can be a bit crazy, it helps that I can plan our attack early: we know which Black Friday deals I want, where the items are located in the store (which is great so we can divide and conquer once the doors open), and which items have additional sales or couponsavailable to use (like in-store coupons or Cartwheel offers).
I do want to make it to Target this Friday because they have a few things I’d really like to get the kids for Christmas:
Turbo $10
Monsters University $10
Classic Board Games for $5 (Buddy LOVES board games!)
Skylanders characters: Buy 2 get one free
Color Cube $12- would be great for my daughter and her girl cousins.
Pajamas $5 for both kids AND adults!
Have you checked out the deals at Target for Black Friday yet? Is there anything you are looking to get for your family? Do you go Black Friday shopping? If so, do you have any traditions? If I go out in the middle of the night this year I may have to break my no caffeine rule! Do you have any tips and tricks to help me out?

Turbo & Monsters U are on my list, too! But I won’t go out on Thursday, either.

Great tips, Paula! Thank you! Trying to add to our classic game collection, so am looking for that $5 deal… couldn’t find it on the Target Black Friday ad ~ can you post a link? I just saw BOGO 1/2 off…

Those are some great deals at Target. I have only gone Black Friday shopping twice, both times were at Target and I really don’t like it lol. I’m not planning to go this year, but good luck with your shopping if you make it out 🙂
