Babies R Us Sweet Registry Deal and Giveaway

Babies R Us is having some sweet deals for moms that register between now and November 15, 2013. Expectant parents and caregivers can earn up to $200 back on items purchased off their Babies“R”Us Registry created between now and November 15, 2013 through the Sweetest Registry Deal Ever promotion. Moms can earn 10% back on purchases made off their Babies“R”Us Registry (up to $200). This will come in the form of an e-gift card approximately 10 weeks after their expected arrival date, enabling parents to purchase even more products and essentials for baby.

I know that I never got everything I registered for on any of my registries, so having that bonus money back after baby comes will be a great hand in making sure I’m ready for baby to come!  There are a few things that I always try to get for new moms and myself to be ready for the arrival of new baby.

  1. Koala Baby Receiving Blankets: I love the size of these blankets as they are perfect for swaddling baby.
  2. Lansinoh Breast Cream: This is great for first time nursing moms. It helps to take away any pain and keep from cracking!
  3. Nursing Cover Up: There are so many different kinds out there, but if you’re a new mom and uncomfortable with nursing, a cover up is a great tool to keep on hand. Such as this one.
  4. Baby Carrier: My absolute favorite type of carrier is the Mei Tei type. Babies R Us sells one by Infantino.
  5. Reusable Cloth Prefold Diapers: These can be used as burp cloths and to clean up messes. We still use ours any time there is a spill in our house because it pulls it right up!

This time I’m pretty sure I want some kind of jogging stroller as well. I don’t want it just for jogging, but to make it easier to push the baby over all terrains. We’ll be taking the baby to camp with us and festivals and some strollers you just can NOT push over grass. You obviously also need a crib of some kind for the baby to sleep in, carseat, bottles if not breastfeeding, and clothes. The above items are just extras that help me out tremendously.

  59. My must have baby item is a car seat. Without one you can’t take your child home from the hospital.

  68. Some must have’s I wish I would have splurged on with my first is Aden + Anais Swaddles. They are amazing, no comparision to the flannel carter’s ones I had for my son (my 4 year old uses them too, they make great summer blankets!). Also, Baby Legs and Onsies… my daughter lived in those for the first year! Something i’d like to have for our next baby is an Organic mattress!

  87. A good lovely blanky. And a few identical backups which get washed each time the lovey does, so there can be no heartbreak when the lovey is dirty or lost.

  100. My must have baby item is a good baby carrier. I like Baby Bjorn or a pouch sling depending on the age of the baby.

  124. A must have item for me would be Pampers Swaddler Diapers. I’ve heard they are the best to use and have great leak protection! I read on Babies R Us website that a baby will go through 2500 diapers in one year! Wow!

  138. A swing seems to get them to sleep easier in those moments that you can’t rock them.

  171. My sister and SIL both swear that swaddling is the best cry soother for the first few months, so I’ll be buying my SIL who is pregnant with twins a few swaddlers if I win the gift card!

  188. A durable stroller that’s not too heavy. The one I had for my first was so heavy and needlessly so.

  204. My favorite item was my pocket sling! Not only was it great for out-and-about, but it was great for getting stuff done around the house. I didn’t have to put my baby down and walk away to get stuff done, but it allowed me to snuggle my wee one while cleaning and such.

  208. We have asks for all the usual suspects, but really want a quality diaper bag or bouncy chair.

  213. My must have baby item is/was the Hyland’s teething tablets. Safe, holistic, made of chamomile flowers, and dissolve immediately the mouth. For teething, its a must!

  216. The vibrating reclining seat was our must have! The kids slept there next to me on the couch many a night!

  226. My son is six months old now, but I’m still hoping to get him a Jumparoo before he’s too big for one. (It won’t be a waste even if he can only use it briefly, because my sister is expecting early next year so it can be passed along!)
