Piggy Paint

My daughter and I have been using Piggy Paint for years. Until I did this campaign, though, I didn’t know the trick to get it to stay on my nails. For some reason it would stay on Monkey’s nails for weeks but come off of mine in a day.  (Note: I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.) I’ll talk about the trick in a minute. First of all, let’s talk about Piggy Paint. One of the reasons I LOVE Piggy Paint is that it’s natural.

As natural as mud, and just as much fun to play with, Piggy Paint is a non-toxic, kid-friendly, virtually odorless, water-based line of nail polishes.  Now, little girls can safely get the look of a big girl manicure, without exposure to harsh chemical ingredients or fumes.  Piggy Paint comes in a rainbow of fancy colors with fanciful names, ready to wear for special occasions or to brighten an ordinary day.

Monkey Piggy PaintYou can see that Monkey was totally excited to have a nail polish party with Mommy. She’s always begging me to paint her fingers and toes. (The boys have asked, too. I did Buddy’s blue once and Daddy wasn’t very happy with me so we don’t do that in our house anymore.) She wanted a pattern with her nails so she picked two colors to “alternate”. Monkey picked Girls Rule! and Tea Party for Two. I used Tea Party for Two and Ice Cream Dream for my nails. Aren’t the names cute?

Piggy Paint NailsI know she doesn’t look thrilled in that picture. I’m not sure what that was about. She normally smiles very cute in her pictures. She was happy to have her nails done. I think she just didn’t want her picture taken.

So the trick I was talking about? Once we got done painting our nails, we used the hair dryer for one minute on the warm heat/low setting. It set our nails perfectly! It’s been a week since we did our nails. Monkey’s are chipped but she still has color on all of her nails. Unfortunately, the next day I did a LOT of dishes and scrubbed the sink with bleach. That was the end of my manicure. I love the colors and they’re great for little girls or a fun night out on the town.
