Have you heard of the Hopper from Dish Network? The Hopper™ is a Whole-Home HD DVR available only from DISH. You can record up to 6 shows at one time during primetime TV so no one has to fight over the remote anymore. The problem in my house is that the TV shows I want to watch come on while the kids are still awake and they are not kid appropriate and I don't have a DVR so I can't watch the shows I want to watch. One of the really cool things about Hopper is that you can transfer your shows to your iPad or Android app using the DISH anywhere app. Another awesome feature is Hopper Transfers™ – This is the long awaited solution for watching programs when traveling without an Internet connection, such as in-flight or on the road. Simply transfer your DVR recordings to your iPad with the free Hopper Transfers app before you leave the house and you can enjoy your favorite movies or shows on flights or keep your kids entertained on a long road trip, even when you don’t have an Internet connection. Your shows and movies – on your time anywhere. This would be great for me, because I have to sit in the pickup line at school for near 20 minutes every day and it'd be nice to watch my shows while waiting. One more really cool thing is AutoHop where you can skip commercials instantly. That would be an awesome feature, because I do catch my shows on demand and can't skip commercials at all.

Get the Hopper™ free when you sign up for DISH. Packages starting at $24.99. (For 12 months with 24 month commitment. Restrictions Apply.) I know I would definitely look into getting the Dish if it weren't for the contract. Learn more about the Hopper You can also LIKE DISH on Facebook and Follow DISH on Twitter.

I love the Hopper but hate it at the same time because they came out with it literally 2 months after we had just signed up for Dish!
