Michele's Totally Awesome Gourmet Popcorn, Review, GiveawayI was recently given a chance to try out Michele’s Totally Awesome Gourmet Popcorn! I would have to agree that for the most part it IS totally awesome! She sent me a ton to try! We got chocolate coconut, mudslide, peanut butter cup, caramel, jack frost jumble, pizza, nacho, buffalo blues and a munchie mix. Out of the savory flavors I guess I would say that buffalo blues was my favorite, although I really wouldn’t sit down and eat it. It seems weird to have a burning mouth with the taste of blue cheese while you’re eating popcorn. 🙂 The chocolate covered popcorn and caramel were AWESOME! Mudslide a little weird because it tastes like alcohol. My husband absolutely LOVED the jack frost jumble. He couldn’t get enough of that one. I think the peanut butter cup was his second favorite. I loved the caramel and jack frost jumble. Charlie took the munchie mix to work and ate it in two days. (Or it’s hiding in his desk. It never came back home, so I don’t know what came of it.)

It all started with an awesome recipe for whoopie pies. Over the years I have had people actually quarrel over these delectable treats. I thought if people liked them that much maybe I should market them. So I shifted into research mode in the summer of 2006 to determine what it would take to run a food related business. During this same time and prior, I had been making white chocolate-coated popcorn, which I would give as gifts for my children’s teachers at Christmas and at the end of the school year. I would also occasionally bring the popcorn to my Girl Scout leader meetings and that is where I was always being told, “This popcorn is awesome, you should sell it!” It was December 2006 when I finally listened and decided to put the whoopie pie venture on hold indefinitely and pursue popcorn.

So began Michele’s Totally Awesome Gourmet Popcorn in February 2007…

Now almost five years later, not only has our popcorn crossed the country but it has travelled the globe. Nothing compares to the mouth-watering flavors from New Hampshire’s premiere gourmet popcorn company, Michele’s Sweet Shoppe. With the support of our cutomers, friends, and family, this small business is POPping at the seams and on the move to a bigger popcorn kitchen in Epsom, NH this fall of 2011.

Rest assured though, all of our flavors including the original white chocolate, are still handcrafted in small batches with fresh, quality ingredients and always fresh from our door to yours.
