Proud of myself

I just want to pat myself on the back a little here. For at least the past week, even though I have a sprained ankle, I have made almost every meal at home and every night my sink has been empty and shined. It feels good to wake up in the morning to a clean kitchen. It makes it so much easier to get my husband off to work in the morning. He’s started a new job this week and I’m extremely proud of him. He’s worked so hard to get where he is and he works so hard to provide for our family. I want him to come home to a happy, clean home with a nice meal on the table. We kind of have the old fashioned relationship where the wife stays home to take care of the house and kids and he provides for us. I’ve been fortunate enough to make money through blogging to help supplement his income and help us to do fun things or provide fun Christmas presents for our kids and families.

I’m also proud of myself that I’ve blogged every day since January 1st and I reached my goal last month of sharing a cookie recipe every week day between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’m really trying hard to bring you quality recipes, pictures, and posts. If there’s something you’d like to see here, please let me know.

One of my goals this year is to post more personal stuff so here’s post 1. 🙂 I know when I go blog hopping I love to read personal posts from the people to get a look into who they are. It’s what keeps me coming back. I hope to share more of myself with you to hopefully keep you coming back.

Hope you’re having a wonderful New Year so far!

About Paula

Paula Krueger considers herself a "baby "chef, not because she cooks for babies, but because she's still learning how to cook. She started this blog after taking Wilton method classes and at that point was more interested in baking. She's since become more interested in learning to cook as her family has grown. She also covers product reviews and travel as well.

I need some of what you’ve got…lol. Since my son moved in, I feel like the house is in constant chaos.

Believe me, I’ve been working hard at it. I still have a pile of clothes sitting on my couch from Monday. But my kitchen sink is empty! 🙂 It’s always a big change when someone moves in.

I need some of that mojo too! My house is, well cluttered. I love reading the personal stuff too and I should probably write more to get more readers. I just need to manage my time better.

When you mentioned the clean sinks, I thought about the FlyLady routine. Have you ever followed that?

I did flylady before I had kids. I’m debating going back to her program. I’ve done pretty well maintaining the kitchen, but I need to work on the rest of the house, too.

Great job on posting all of those cookie recipes. I get so excited when I think of goals and ideas for my blog but often times give up so easily when it comes to really do the posts. I too love reading personal stuff from my favorite bloggers. I think that’s the reason why we feel like we really know the blogger’s that share so easily. Have a great day and thanks for the reminder to open up my e-mail subscription e-mails more often.

Paula you don’t give your self enough credit. You do a great job. Its hard being a mom with three little one’s and caring for everything in the house and trying to make everyone happy. Its great to feel a sense of accomplishment. Funny thing is I too have been tackling my kitchen since the 1st of the year.
Hugs and keep up the great work
