#GrilledEssentials, #CBias, Collective BiasI was asked to review the new Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials chicken breasts back in early September, but my Walmart seems to be slow on getting new products. (I’m still on the look out for Hillshire Farm Gourmet Creations sausages that were supposed to come out October 1st and they haven’t shown up at my Walmart. 🙁 ) I was so excited to finally find the Grilled Essentials. They are sold in the lunch meat section of your Walmart. They are fully cooked, #GrilledEssentials, #CBias, Collective Biasprepackaged chicken breasts with different marinades.  They have four different flavors: Grilled, Hardwood Smoked, Italian Style and Lemon Pepper. I tried Italian Style because I figured it would go best with the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo I wanted to make. I’d also like to try the Lemon Pepper in the future. I bet that would taste great in a salad with a citrus marinade for a dressing.  I love the ease of heating these chicken breasts up! You leave them in the package and heat up for 60 seconds in the microwave. Here is the recipe:

Hillshire Farm #GrilledEssentials Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials Chicken Breasts I used Italian Style
  • 1/4 Cup butter
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 clove garlic crushed (I used 2 teaspoons of refrigerated, jarred garlic)
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley I will use a little less next time. My husband liked it as is
  • 1/2 box of fettuccine noodles

Instructions

  1. Start your water boiling and get your fettuccine noodles started. When just about ready, start the rest of the recipe.
  2. Melt Butter in medium saucepan over medium low heat.
  3. Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes, then add garlic and cheese and whisk quickly, heating through.
  4. Stir in parsley and remove from heat.
  5. Heat your Grilled Essentials Chicken breasts per package directions.
  6. Cut up breasts into small pieces.
  7. Mix noodles and chicken into sauce and serve.

That looks SO good! I have heard about the Grilled Essentials and I want to try them too. My Walmart is slow to get stuff too. I think that they would go great in a quick chicken ceasar salad. YUM!
