I was asked to review the new Hillshire Farm Grilled Essentials chicken breasts back in early September, but my Walmart seems to be slow on getting new products. (I’m still on the look out for Hillshire Farm Gourmet Creations sausages that were supposed to come out October 1st and they haven’t shown up at my Walmart. 🙁 ) I was so excited to finally find the Grilled Essentials. They are sold in the lunch meat section of your Walmart. They are fully cooked, prepackaged chicken breasts with different marinades. They have four different flavors: Grilled, Hardwood Smoked, Italian Style and Lemon Pepper. I tried Italian Style because I figured it would go best with the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo I wanted to make. I’d also like to try the Lemon Pepper in the future. I bet that would taste great in a salad with a citrus marinade for a dressing. I love the ease of heating these chicken breasts up! You leave them in the package and heat up for 60 seconds in the microwave. Here is the recipe:
Hillshire Farm #GrilledEssentials Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe

Mix noodles and chicken into sauce and serve.

That looks SO good! I have heard about the Grilled Essentials and I want to try them too. My Walmart is slow to get stuff too. I think that they would go great in a quick chicken ceasar salad. YUM!
