Last year Country Bob’s sponsored me to go to BOBNOLA and when they did, they sent me a recipe book and a bunch of bottles of sauce. We recently had a friend move in with us because he’s down on his luck and he has since fallen in love with all things Country Bob’s. He sprinkles the seasoning salt on everything and adds the All Purpose Sauce to many different foods and drinks, including beer. I pulled out my cookbook and the first recipe he wanted to try was the Sour Cream Meat Loaf. I don’t like mushrooms so he changed a few things in the recipe.

CountryBobs Sour Cream Meat Loaf

Delicious variation on meatloaf
Servings 8
Author Country Bob's

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1/4 cup Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce
  • 1 3-ounce can sliced mushrooms, drained (we didn't use)
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 cup green olives chopped we added this variation
  • 1 green pepper chopped we added this variation, I think I'd go with 1/2 a green pepper next time

Instructions

  1. Combine the sour cream, green onions, Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce and mushrooms in a small bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, milk, salt and any extras in a large bowl and mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into a long 4-inch wide rectangle in an un-greased shallow baking dish.
  4. Make a 2-inch-deep well lengthwise down the center of the loaf.
  5. Spoon the sour cream mixture into the well.
  6. Leave the sour cream mixture exposed.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until the loaf is cooked through.
  8. Remove the loaf to a serving plate
