On Sunday we got up from our stay at the Super 8 and started on the road to Branson. I think it’s only a 2-3 hour drive between Rolla and Branson. We started seeing signs on the highway for a Wild Animal Safari. The kids didn’t get to do anything except sit in the car on Saturday so we wanted to let them do a little something fun along the way.
We pulled in and changed diaper while Daddy went to get tickets for us all. The kids were watching the white tigers and snow tiger while we waited. They were running back and forth in front of the gate and the tiger was running back and forth with them. They had a blast. I showed it off on my Wordless Wednesday this week. We all then loaded on the safari tour bus and headed off into the park with our bag of feed. There are no windows on the tour bus; it’s an old school bus that has had all the windows taken out so you can reach the animals and feed them. It was also painted in zebra stripes.
As soon as we passed the gates, animals started coming up to the bus. We were greeted by goats, deer, buffalo, llamas, zebras, zedonks, and so much more. One of the llamas stuck their head in and stole a bag of food from someone across the bus from us. There was just so much to see and the animlas were all so friendly. Our tour guide told the typical jokes, but it was nice to have something to laugh at along the way. We didn’t take the time to do the walk through of the park, because we wanted to get on the road to check into our hotel so we could do part of the day at Silver Dollar City as well. We all really enjoyed the ride and seeing all the different animals. If you have the time to stop on your way to Branson, I totally recommend the Wild Animal Safari.
Admission info:
Adults: $15.95
Children 4-12 $11.95
Seniors 65 and older $11.95
Children 3 and under: FREE
Animal Feed:
Souvenir Cup $1.75
Bag o’feed $2.50
Family Pack $9.00 (which is 4 bags)
If you have 3 or more kids with you, I suggest either 2 bags or the family pack. We were very conservative with what we gave the kids and 1 bag was barely enough. They wanted more food.
This is not a sponsored post. This was just a fun activity that my family had while on vacation. All opinions are my own.

It looks like you guys had SO much fun! I’m definitely going to keep up with your trip. My boys have not been on any type of safari or animal adventure since it’s scarce in our area, but this is inspiring me to search out animal rescue centers or preserves for them.
