This past weekend I was invited to the grand opening of 77kids in Shaumburg, IL at the Woodfield Mall. They had a very welcoming staff and the store was very fun to look around. They had multiple interactive things for the kids from being able to take pictures of themselves that they can customize and print, to bean bags on the floor for them to lounge around on, to floating images on the floor of their logo and such. They had some really cool changing rooms that had port holes so the children can open just the hole for Mom or Dad to look in if they are self-conscious and don’t want to come out of the dressing room in front of the whole store. They also have yummy treats for the kids.

77kidsThey have a really fun interactive window display for the holidays where you can race your friends with the birds skiing down the slope. As you can see from the picture, 77kids is wishing for snow! They have a special promotion going on right now that they would like to hit a goal of 100,000 snowflakes made on the 77kids site to donate $25,000 to local children’s memorial hospitals. The hospitals that will benefit are:

– Children’s Health and Wellness Center at Danbury Hospital

– Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota

– Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh

– Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper

– University Hospital (Cherry Hill/Philadelphia)

– Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital (Syracuse)

– WakeMed Children’s Hospital (Raleigh)

– Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (Hartford)

– Children’s Memorial Hospital (Chicago)

Also, any donation you make in the store over .77 will get you a snowflake that you can place on the Blizzard Wall for all to see. Those donations will go to your local Children’s Hospital. You can make as many snowflakes as you want – not just one!  You’re asked to submit your contact information only after the first snowflake. Creating a snowflake makes you eligible to win a $77 gift card from 77kids (one gift card given away daily!) and enters you to win the ultimate grand prize: an awesome block party for you and 77 pals!!

  25. I created a snowflake- It took me forever to come up with a name lol. “Wish upon a snowflake” When my kids get up from nap, I’ll let them make one too!
