I was given a chance to review Teacup Piggies. These cute little pigs are claimed to be the Hottest Toy of the Holiday Season. My daughter really enjoyed playing with Princess for the few minutes she was allowed and she wants to ask Santa for one for Christmas. (My plan was to play with the piggy by myself for the review and repackage… a certain little Monkey girl came into my room while I was taking Princess out of the package.) Teacup Piggies are six inch miniature versions of real Teacup Pigs. They speak over 20 phrases and each piggy comes with its very own teacup, accessories, and birth certificate.

The constant “LOL” is a little annoying to me, but I don’t even use it on the internet, so hearing it out loud grates at my skin. The piggy is pretty poseable and has multiple triggers to make it talk. Here’s the backstory about Teacup Piggies:

The Story – Teacup Mania!

Late last year, miniature pigs called teacup pigs became the new must-have pet. There are

now hundreds of websites dedicated to these adorable pigs thanks to celebrity owners such

as Jessica Simpson, Carrie Underwood, David and Victoria Beckham, Harry Potter’s Rupert

Grint, and Peter Facinelli of Twilight fame. They’ve been featured on The Tonight Show

with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America, and The Today Show.

Buy It:

You can purchase Teacup Piggies at ToysRus, Walmart, K-mart, Walgreens, and Radio Shack.

SRP: $5.99 -29.99
-Fashion set $5.99, Piggy set $12.99, Deluxe accessory set $12.99, Three playsets $17.99-29.99

Thank you for linking to my review! Yes, I too am very glad it has an off switch. If you leave it to “on” and not “demo” it will speak whenever it hears the slightest noise since it responds to motion/sound to interact with children. As princess says, “LOL!”

I bought one for my 4 year old daughter and she loved it! It was really a loveable toy and very competitively priced as well. For just 12.99 at a local store my daughter was able to enjoy this thing for hours. Something about its lifelike realistic personality really spoke to her. I would definitely recommend this toy to another parent looking for something along these lines.
