Are you a busy mom like me? You all know I’m in the process of buying a house. With my husband’s hours, the majority of the contacting of people has fallen on my shoulders.  Have you ever tried talking to your Realtor while rushing three kids into the house, carrying a purse and groceries? That’s why I’m so glad I got a Jawbone ICON! I absolutely LOVE it! It is small and fits snugly in my ear. My last ear piece always flapped around on my head because it didn’t actually sit in my ear, only on top of it being held in place by an ear loop.

I got the sleek Icon named “The Catch” I absolutely love that it matched my White Google G1 Phone. My other favorite would be “The Rogue” my favorite colors are red or pink. I love the black and red combination of “The Rogue” Each ICON has it’s own name and personality.

The Jawbone is so easy to use! There is an actual on/off slider instead of having to hold the button down like you do on other headsets. With my phone I just had to turn on Bluetooth and it was able to find and connect to my Jawbone with no issues. It was even partially charged so I could play with it right out of the box! Speaking of the box, Jawbone has made sure their box and materials are made out of 100% recyclable materials! The Icon is very easy to charge; you can chose to plug it into the wall or your computer via USB cable. If you hold down the button on your Icon it will tell you how much battery time is still available. You will typically get 4.5 hours of talk time and 10 days standby time. Another very cool feature of the Jawbone Icon is that you are able to customize the voices and download cool apps to use along with it! Take a look at My Talk.

My Talk is a place where you can dynamically personalize your Jawbone ICON with an array of free, convenient applications and get the latest software updates.

You can get apps like A2DP which lets you listen to music, podcasts, turn-by-turn directions and other audio through your Jawbone ICON. So now you can still listen to YOUR music while having your children’s music on in the car. 🙂

The Jawbone ICON has an MSRP of $99. Not too bad for all the options you get with it! (And the freedom of having a free hand as a mom!)

  1. The Thinker is the one for me! I travel to make tech support visits in my area and this would help me stay safer on the road by freeing up my hands for driving. Plus with the noise reduction feature, I wouldn’t have to shout to be heard over the traffic noise. Great giveway!

    • I really like the jawbone icon “The Catch” :)… It would help my day to day, as I am always from one place to another and there goes my phone ringing, my hands full and here it goes again to voice mail.

  42. I really like the thinker. I bought a blue tooth head set once and it was a cheapie and I couldnt hear anything on it the volume was so low and couldnt be adjusted. I talk on the phone alot when in the car or semi. Driving a semi you need your hands but you need comunication also. The Jawbone would be a great addition to my phone family.

    I want the thinker, perhaps because the name gives a persona of something, but mostly because I like the diamond design and the neutral color.

    Paula, you know more than anyone how often I used my last Jawbone. I love Jawbone and was so bummed that my last one broke. Now the last one only broke because I was so rough on it using it for work and getting it banged around constantly.

    Driving my vehicle and working on all the IT hardware and software I do all day, I have to have my hands free. There is no other way. If I don’t win one here, I have to buy a new one. Either way I will own one, but free is for me.

  49. I like The Ace. It will change my life by making it easier to be on the phone while still doing the things I need to get done! Also It would be nice to be able to be on the phone and drive too since I can’t do that without a handsfree!

  50. The Rogue – my mom has been saying for years I need something handsfree for my car commutes. I have 3 boys and it’s enough to just try to make it from one location to the next without juggling a phone.
