Craft Idea – Christmas Card Pictures

Misc.

We got a ton of Christmas card pictures and I hate to throw them away. I had no idea what to do with them. I came across an idea in a magazine to make them into place mats to use in future Christmases. I had a few hours free time on Saturday so I finally took all the Christmas cards down off the wall and sat down to make my place mat(s). It turned out I did not really have enough to make 2 so I made one large one. On the back of each picture I wrote the names of who is in each photo and how I know them (for others looking at the photos.) I didn’t take into account that the photos would overlap. Whoops!

To make the place mat I cut out all my photos and placed them in the order I wanted on my desk. I took a large piece of clear contact paper and laid it over the pictures. I then flipped it over and added another piece of clear contact paper to the back to seal it all in.
