Happy 3rd Birthday Little Man!

Happy Birthday, 3rd, ThirdToday is my Little Man’s third birthday! I can’t believe that three years ago today my last meal before you were born was Taco Bell (no wonder I got sick in recovery!) You made your appearance nice and late. You were a total worry to me throughout my whole pregnancy. They told me you were going to be born with Downs Syndrome or Trisomy 18.  They told me to abort you! You came out the happiest and healthiest little boy there is. I don’t know what my life would be without you and I don’t know why I ever doubted I wanted another child. Happy Birthday to my Little Man!

Happy Birthday to 2 of my favorite people!

I’ve been so busy recently that I didn’t even blog about my kiddos’ birthdays! I’m dedicating this Wordless Wednesday to my Buddy, who turned 5 last week and Monkey who turned 3 today. Happy Birthday to my two beautiful babies.

Free Forum Friday March 19- Real Estate

PhotobucketSo I wanted to tell all my wonderful followers why I’ve missed a few posts this week. This week my husband and I finally decided to take the plunge and see if we could get approved for a mortgage. We called Tuesday and were preapproved!! We are so excited! We got a Realtor from a friend of the family that same day and started the process. Wednesday morning we went to see a house that was just put BACK on the market as an approved short sale on Tuesday. We immediately saw the amazing deal that this property is and put an offer in because we know that it will not last long at this price! In the mean time we’re still looking because we are not locked into this property and we don’t know if the bank will accept our offer or someone else’s. I swear we’ve spent every waking, non-working moment on house hunting since Tuesday. I’m exhausted but I know it’ll be well worth it in the end. I actually only have about another 10 minutes left of computer time before I have to get us all ready to go out and hit the pavement again. Our Realtor is getting some houses put together for us to go see today. The hardest part of this all is watching my poor kiddos have to sit in the car hour after hour while we drive around looking and hoping. They all LOVE the house we put an offer on. We found out yesterday that we have to be pre-approved by the owner’s finance company in order for them to accept our offer so I filled out their application yesterday and am faxing him all the financial paperwork this morning. Wouldn’t it be awesome if he got all the paperwork and they accepted our offer by tonight? He told me they could close in 15-30 days! Ok ok I’m getting ahead of myself. I am doing my best NOT to be excited about this property because they have not accepted our offer yet and very well may not.

So we’d love any prayers or best wishes for our house hunt. I’d also like any ideas you all may have to keep the kids busy in the van. We used the travel DVD player yesterday and they loved that, but how long before the newness of that wears off? (I’ve only used it once in the car and that was on our moving trip from Florida to Illinois. It was the whole reason I bought it!)

On a side note, tomorrow my husband and I both celebrate our 32nd birthdays! What an awesome birthday present; a house!

Top 3 Thursday- Favorites about Spring

Confessions from a Working Mom

3. The kids can leave the house!! No more house arrest! No more snow!

2. The weather! I love the spring. (Fall is my favorite season, but Spring is a close #2) I love shedding all the layers. Putting away the winter clothes and boots. Enjoying spring evening walks.

1. It’s my husband’s and My birthday! We both were born March 20th, the first day of Spring! I like to celebrate much more than he does. We’ll see what happens this year (hint, hint)
