Fischer and Wieser Pumpkin Pie #Recipe

Fischer and WieserI was given the chance to try out Fisher & Wieser pie fillings; pumpkin pie butter and cherry pie filling. I made their 3-layer pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, although mine only was a 2 layer because I had no more room in my pie tin to fit the 3rd layer. The pie was definitely not a traditional pumpkin pie. It was more of a pumpkiny cheesecake. I was thinking instead of layers, it may be good to just mix all the ingredients together. My whole family really enjoyed the pie.

The cherry pie was simple to make. Just buy a box of pie crusts, unroll, pour the cherries in, put the other crust on top and bake. I am not a fan of cherry pies, so I didn’t try it myself. Everyone that did try the pie loved it, though.

Fischer and Wieser Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ready-made 9” graham cracker pie crust
  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large carton of Cool Whip
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 1 small package instant vanilla pudding (*optional)
  • 1-1/4 cups Fischer & Wieser Pumpkin Pie Butter

Instructions

  1. Filling:
  2. Layer 1: Mix together cream cheese, 1 cup Cool Whip, and sugar with electric mixer until smooth. Spread over crust.
  3. Layer 2: Follow “pie” directions on package for making vanilla pudding. Stir Fischer & Wieser Pumpkin Pie Butter into pudding. Spread layer over cream cheese layer.
  4. *May omit vanilla instant pudding and just spread Fischer & Wieser Pumpkin Pie Butter over Layer 1 if desired.
  5. Layer 3: Spread remainder of Cool Whip from large carton over Fischer & Wieser Pumpkin Pie Butter layer. Allow to chill thoroughly.

Pilgrim Hats

Thanksgiving,pilgrim,hat,marshmallow

Sticking with the Thanksgiving theme here, I made some Pilgrim hats! :)

Ingredients:

Thanksgiving,pilgrim,hat,marshmallow

  • Striped or dipped cookies
  • Marshmallows
  • black candy melts or chocolate chips
  • Yellow frosting

Directions:

  1. Melt chocolate or candies according to package directions. (do not add water! It will freeze your chocolate up)
  2. Lay out cookies, striped side down.
  3. Dip marshmallows in chocolate and place on top of cookies. I used one toothpick to dip and a second to push the marshmallow off the first.
  4. Let chocolate harden.
  5. Take yellow frosting and make a buckle on the front. I used leftover Royal Icing from my Turkey Hand print Cookies, but you can use any kind of frosting.
  6. Enjoy!

  1. Preheat oven according to cookie instructions. Trace hands onto paper or cardboard.
  2. Roll out dough and use hand print cutouts to cut hands out of cookie dough.
  3. Bake according to directions on package. (I baked mine on parchment paper for easy moving around and decorating)
  4. Decorate turkeys with icing. I used Wilton gel colors to dye my icing and used the leaf tips to make my feathers. Special tips are not needed, though. Just have fun!
