Bob Evans Farmhouse Meal Deal #Review and #Giveaway @BobEvansFarms

 I was recently given the opportunity to try the new  Bob Evans $6 Farmhouse Meal Deal with my family.  It was hard for me to get there, though, because the deals are only available Monday through Friday 11 am to close. My husband has a weird work schedule and we’ve been super busy with Football. We finally made a point to make it last Friday night. Of course the kids wanted kids’ meals so they didn’t try one of the new meals. The nice thing about Bob Evans is that their kids’ meals are affordable! There’s nothing worse than paying almost full price for a kids’ meal when there’s no way they will eat it all. Buddy had two mini cheeseburgers with fruit and the other two shared blueberry pancakes, a sausage link and some fruit. No fries and I had nothing to do with it! They chose the meals themselves. I chose the:

SLOW-ROASTED TURKEY KNIFE & FORK SANDWICH

Hand-carved slices of slow-roasted turkey top layers of mashed potatoes and savory bread & celery dressing. Smothered with pan-roasted gravy

I wasn’t a huge fan of the mashed potatoes, but I thought the rest of the meal was very good. The toast and stuffing had a lot of flavor. I’ve been counting calories the past week and it was nice to find out that this wasn’t too horrible in the calorie department. I’d definitely order this again if I went back on a week night. Hubby chose:

CHICKEN & BROCCOLI ALFREDO

Tender, slow-roasted chicken, steamed broccoli florets and homestyle egg noodles are covered in a creamy Alfredo sauce and topped with shredded Parmesan cheese and toasted bread crumbs. All served over our wide, homestyle egg noodles. Served with your choice of grilled garlic Ciabatta bread or freshly baked rolls.

To be honest, he wasn’t very impressed with his meal. He said it was average. I don’t think he’d order it again. He said it was worth $6. Sorry to see he didn’t enjoy it.
